Frequently asked questions

Building a global team doesn't have to be hard. Here are some questions you may have in mind.

We are a medium-sized CRO, what can Terydin do for us?

As a small to medium-sized CRO, you are squarely competing with the largest CROs for biotech clients and small pharma. Your larger competitors have deeper pockets and much larger operations than you do, and have employed a global workforce on the "backend" to enable them to deliver more with less while still providing the high-touch experience on the "front-end" that biotech customers need. In short, you may be outgunned.

At Terydin, we help you recruit and legally employ (and manage) any-sized global team you need. We take care of all the backend legal and tax matters in our name, so you don't have to, all for a low monthly fee. Your job is to manage their day-to-day work as you would for any of your other employees.

Why should my company consider setting up a global team?

Work today is global. Whether you know it or not, you are probably already employing foreign-born employees in some aspect of your supply chain or operations. Setting up a global team allows you to take the benefits of hiring foreign-born employees even further. With a global team, you can
- Expand your talent pool in times of talent shortage for critical / hard to recruit roles
- Benefit from timezone differences by allowing global teams to progress work during their day, and hand off to local teams for further progress
- Benefit from lower cost but highly educated global talent to enable you compete with larger competitors with well established global footprints
- Demonstrate your global reach to sponsors to help position you for later phase trials

In addition, once you get comfortable with your global team, you can expand your operations by partnering with local / regional site management organizations to enable you gain access to trials and sponsors that help deepen or broaden your therapeutic expertise

I have heard of hiring people in India, Philippines, Mexico and even Poland, but have never heard of Ghana.

Here are a few facts about Ghana that make it a top strategic location to build a global team:
- Ghana is an English-speaking country, with English as the official language of government and instruction in school- The country is located in UTC time, which provides about 4-5 hours of working time overlap with the U.S. Eastern and Central time
- Ghana's population (est.) of 33.5 million people is almost comparable to that of Poland and Ukraine, and greater than that of most Eastern-European countries including Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Czechia
- Internet and electricity penetration are very high. For internet, global telcos such as MTN and Telecel are go-to options, with SpaceX Starlink providing satellite internet services as well
- Ghana has been a respected, peaceful, multi-party democracy for 30+ years with multiple transfers of power to opposition parties
- Many global tech companies already hire software engineers, designers, product managers, etc. from Ghana
